近年广州会展业发展提速,但与国内外先进城市巴黎、伦敦、上海、北京等相比,广州在会展的国际化、品牌化、专业化以及支撑要素如高端酒店数量和航空运输的国际化等方面仍存在巨大差距,同时,会议业发展亦严重落后。为缩小差距,广州需要从加快会展业"十二"规划出台、完善扶持政策等方面采取针对性对策。

Guangzhou ＇ s convention and exhibition industry has experienced a speedy development in recent years, but lags far behind the advanced cities like Paris, London, Shanghai, and Beijing, in terms of convention industrial globalization, brand, specialization of exhibition, etc. To downsize these gaps, Guangzhou needs to take appropriate countermeasures, includ- ing improving policy support.
