Western Black Humor and Chinese Novels in Late 20th Century

黑色幽默是西方的一个影响广泛的后现代主义文学流派,它在20世纪80年代大规模传入中国,受到广泛欢迎,并对中国新时期小说创作产生了很大影响。它改变了中国当代文学悲苦严正的整体风格,颠覆了中国当代文学的审美惯性。因为具有一定的批判意识,具有一定的时代进步性,但随着社会转型的完成,它最终难以成为当代文学的主流。

Black humor is a widely influential postmodern literary genre in the West, and it was introduced into China in the 1980s, and widespread and welcome in the new era. It has changed the integral style of contemporary Chinese literature and overturned the long-lasting aesthetic tradition. It is deemed as progressive in a sense because of its certain criticism. However, with the social transformation completed, it would be eventually hardly possible for black humor to become a mainstream in the contemporary literature.
