In this article, the origin, characteristic and importing effect of Total Productive Maintenance（TPM） are stated. In term of analyzing the management characteristics and current situation in knitted fabric＇s dyeing and printing factories, expound 4 TPM methods of corporate training, import 5s and preventive inspection, import over- all equipment effectiveness evaluation, and continuous improvement, and it points out that these methods can be used to improve management level and to reduce cost waste aroused by machines.
