摘要
Think在中国学习者英语写作中出现的频率非常高。本文通过中国学习者语料库CLEC中英语四六级语料库和英语国家料库BNC的对比研究,比较中国非英语专业大学生和本族语者使用该词的差异。通过比较发现,中国非英语专业大学生使用think的频率要远高于本族语者,并且使用搭配也非常单一,主要是"主语+think that"句型。笔者建议在进行外语教学中,语言教师最好能够借助于本族语语料库,使学生接触到真正的语言材料。为中国学习者使用该词提供更用有利的参考,同时能更地道地使用该词。
The word THINK occurs frequently in Chinese learners' English writing.This article compares the different usage of THINK through the comparison between the writing of English band 4 and band 6 in Chinese Learner English Corpus(CELC) and British National Corpus(BNC).Through the comparison,the author finds that Chinese nonEnglish major college students use THINK more frequently than native speakers,and the usage is very single.The main sentence patterns is 'Subject + think that...' The author suggests that in the process of foreign language teaching,teachers should use the native corpus so that students can come into contact with the real language materials.At the same time the corpus can provide Chinese learners with more beneficial reference of the word usage.Thus,the students can use the word more idiomatically.
