Thoughts on the Program of Bilingual Teaching for Nautical Education

有效的双语教学方法既能传授专业知识,又可以提高学生的英语能力。其中目标机制教学法不仅可以有效地开展双语教学,还可以使最终教学效果达到最优。此外,良好的师资、完善的制度以及配套的英文教材也是促进双语教学在航海教育中达到最佳效果的必备条件。

An effective bilingual teaching method can be used not only for teaching nautical knowledge, but also for enhancing the students＇ English ability. Therefore, a new bilingual teaching method, which is known as Goal -based Teaching Method （GTM）, is introduced based on the practical teaching experience. GTM will not only improve the teaching method, but also optimize the final teaching result. Other than the issue of bilin- gual teaching method, the attention should also be drawn on the issues of training lecturers and the innovations made on evaluation system, English textbook, as well as the curriculum.
