Research on the Relationship between English Magazines and Newspaper Reading and Vocatioral College Students' Language Ability Development

英语报刊作为现代社会信息交流的基本载体,以其丰富多彩的内容以及富于时代内涵的特征,成为高职学生培养语言能力的重要材料。英语报刊不仅有层出不穷的新鲜词汇,更囊括了大量的政治、经济、文化、社会、生态等方面的知识。在高职学生中开展英语报刊阅读,无疑是促进其英语听、说、读、写能力提升的有效手段。本文探究了高职学生语言能力培养与英语报刊阅读的关系,分析了英语报刊的基本特点,进而指出英语报刊阅读对高职学生语言能力发展的实际效果,为高职教学模式的改革提供参考。

English magazines and newspaper as the basic carrier of information communication in modem socie-ty, has become an important stage of higher status of higher vocational students＇ English vocational students to build up language ability. This paper explores the language ability, analyzes the basic characteristics of English magazines and newspaper, and points out English and magazines and newspaper＇ s effects on higher vocational students＇ Eng- lish language ability development, trying to provide some references for teaching mode reform for higher vocational education.
