Study on Strategies for Higher Vocational College English Teachers' Transformation and Development: In the Context of Economic Globalization

在经济全球化背景下,高职院校英语教师必须通过提升专业水平、增强职业素养以完成自身转型。然而,受制于陈旧教学理念、重教轻研传统诸多不利因素,这一转型面临了巨大障碍。为了解决障碍,教师应彻底转变教学理念,院校应改善外部环境,促使教师优化知识结构,实现顺利转型。

In the context of economic globalization, vocational college English teachers should realize self-transformation by improving their professional level as well as quality. However, due to the impact of certain factors including the outdated teaching idea, the emphasis on teaching instead of teaching research and so on, the process of transformation and development has been greatly restricted. To remove these restrictions, the higher vocational college English teachers should thoroughly change their teaching idea and the higher vocational colleges should improve the external environment to urge the teachers to optimize their knowledge structure so as to realize the transformation smoothly.
