摘要
本文以英语性别对立名词为研究对象,依据莱昂斯提出的标记判断标准,运用标记理论对不同类型的性别对立名词进行了描写和分析,认为大部分性别对立名词中存在的标记现象在很大程度上是文化的反映。
This article describes and analyzes the phenomenon of markedness of gender-antagonistic noun in English with the criteria by Lyons,and concludes the markedness and unmarkedness can be the reflection of culture.
