毛泽东是中国推进马克思主义理论教育的先行者。他的理论教育思想突出地表现在六个方面:马克思主义理论教育的中心必须围绕中国革命和建设的实际问题展开;理论教育的核心内容是马克思主义经典著作、马克思主义哲学;理论教育的重要对象是党员干部、农民群众和知识分子;理论教育应当遵循理论和实践相统一、"没有调查,没有发言权"、密切联系群众的基本原则;理论教育的具体方法是整风学习、批评与自我批评、团结—批评—团结、典型示范、从错误中学习;理论教育必须重视语言艺术,强调语言必须接近民众。在推进当代中国马克思主义大众化的背景下,探寻和弘扬毛泽东的马克思主义理论教育思想,为当代中国马克思主义大众化提供理论基础和经验借鉴具有重要的现实意义。

Mao Zedong is the pioneer of the Marxist theory education in China. His educational thoughts reside in six aspects： Marxist theory education must be centred on the practical problems of the revolution and construction in China; the core of the theoretical education is the classics of Marxism and its philosophy; the objects of the education are the party leaders, peasants and intellectuals; the theoretical education must be based on the principles of integration of theory and practice, criticism and self-criticism, unity-criticism-unity, model performance and learning from errors; the theoretical education must consider the art of language use which should be closely related with the populace. It＇s of great practical significance for the popularization of Marxism in China to explore and promote the Marxist theoretical education thoughts of Mao Zedong and provide with it theoretical basis and experiential values.
