The interpretation of＂ 斯害也已 ＂ is divergent, because the sentence＂ 攻乎异端;斯害也已 ＂ has several ambiguous points. First, the meaning of the verb＂ ~＂ may be＇ attack＇ or＇ manage/engage＇. Second, the meaning of ＂斯＂ may be＇ this＇ as a demonstrative or＇ so＇ as a conjunction. Third, the meaning of ＂ 已＂ may be＇ stop＇ as a verb or a modal particle. This paper investigated the sentence grammatically, and drew the conclusion that ＂攻＂ is a verb which means＇ attack＇ ,＂斯＂ is a demonstrative, and ＂已＂ is a a modal particle.
