Political and Economic Development among Institutions:A Comparative Study of Argentina and Chile,1976- 1989

鉴于现有研究制度和发展关系的三种模式——单一制度、制度相加和制度之间的政治/经济发展,存在诸多缺陷,文章着力建构制度之间的政治经济发展理论。该理论意味着政治和经济渗透、贯彻到制度和发展的各个环节,分别与制度、发展相结合,而政治和经济的关系也纠缠其中。文章认为,整体上冲突的政治经济制度使政治经济发展整体上呈现冲突状态,而整体上协调的政治经济制度使政治经济发展整体上得以协调。1976—1989年的阿根廷和智利分属这两种类型,从而证明了前述分析框架的可行性。在未来,初创的制度之间的政治经济发展理论有待进一步检验、细化和拓展。

Concerning the relationship between institutions and development, there exist three explanations, respectively emphasizing singular institution, institutional addition, and political or economic development among institutions. To overcome the various disadvantages of these present models, this paper tries to construct a theo- ry of political and economic development among institutions. The theory contends that politics as well as econo- my interplays with institutions and development everywhere. Generally speaking, conflicting political - econom- ic institutions result in conflicting political - economic development, while concerted political - economic insti- tutions result in concerted political - economic development. From 1976 to 1989, Argentina and Chile fell into these two situations, respectively, and thus illustrate the feasibility of the mentioned analytical framework. In the future, the newly - established theory needs to be further tested, detailed and elaborated.
