Study on Extension of Perennial Cotton in Yunnan during the Anti-Japanese War

云南木棉是中国特有棉花作物,所产棉花是细纱的原材料,具有重要的经济价值。抗战时期,基于云南省棉布棉纱的自身需要和全国棉纱的需求,中央政府和云南省政府组织各方力量在云南推广木棉种植,并取得了很大的成效。云南木棉推广工作的成功经验对当今农业推广工作具有深刻的启示。

Perennial cotton in Yunnan is special cotton crop in China, raw material of spun yarn comes from it. It has significant economic val-ue. During the Anti-Japanese War,in view of meeting needs of cotton cloth and cotton yam in Yunnan Province and even the whole country, Cen-tral Government and Yunnan Province＇ s Government arranged all forces to spread perennial cotton growing, then gained great achievements. Pe-rennial cotton cropping extension in Yunnan gives us profound lessons about agricultural extension.
