The targets,characteristics and implementing countermeasures of sustainable develop-ment strategy in China were expounded. It was pointed out that we must strengthen the conscious-ness of sustainable development, establish the property system and comprehensive management mechanism,change the traditional style of economic growth and promote the fundamental transfor-mation of development strategy in China.
