For quite a long time,the academic circle has not fully discussed howBuddhism has entered scholar- officials' life by means of popular ancient sayings about social values. This article explains that people's multi- level demands could be satisfied only if'Let a hundred flowers blossom,let a hundred schools of thought contend',by analyzing the concept of compensating the shortcomings of Confucianism by Buddhism in the book of Cai Gen Tan. 'The more national,the more infectious and more international'.
