Why Korean and Chinese Students Have Similar Expectations of Employment

本研究通过两套问卷调查数据,并且结合访谈所获资料,对在华韩国留学生以及中国大学生所期望的就业部门、就业地点以及升学愿望等就业期望进行了分析比较,发现这两个群体在上述就业期望上具有很大的相似性;比如大多数韩国留学生也希望在大型企业、政府部门就业,在大都市就业,并追求更高的学位等。本研究将这种就业期望的相似性归因为两国社会文化背景的相似性,并且试图说明目前中国大学生种种就业期望的合理性。本研究还将根据韩国留学生的就业期望的现状,尝试预测未来若干年内中国大学生就业期望的演变趋势。

Based on questionnaire surveys and interviews, this study compares and analyzes the ex- pected employment sectors, cities, and willingness to pursue advanced studies between Korean students in China and Chinese college students. Empirical results show great similarities between the two groups. Like Chinese students, most Korean students in China also prefer working in large corpora- tions/ governmental sectors in metropolises and expect to pursue graduate studies. This study attrib- utes such similarities to the similar socio-cultural background and attempts to prove the rationality of Chinese college students＇ expectations of employment. The paper also predicts the future trend of Chi- nese college students＇ expectations of employment.
