There are different paths for specialty cultivation in universities and colleges. Colleges with industrial features are faced with the homogenization of university development nationwide. It is important to improve the quality of education and to enhance the competitiveness through the cultivation and construction of specialties. The main features of industrial colleges in cultivating specialty include the supporting of advantage disciplines and adjustment to industries. Motivation, mechanism and fitness are the main factors in developing specialties in colleges. We suggest that these colleges should promote cooperation between the colleges and the industry, optimize the curriculum structure and strengthen supervision in the process in order to make the cultivation and construction of specialties more efficient.
