Driven by profound military,political and economic motives,defence procurement globalization has become a worldwide trend.While the rapid development of the globalized defence procurement has brought many benefits,it has posed serious challenges to a country' s national security.From the perspectives of international environment,level of dependence,current procurement and preparatory measures,China has faced more severe risks than other countries.To cope with the risks effectively,China should properly control the contents and proportions of overseas procurement,accumulate stocks rationally and map out substitution plans.It should also make a proper choice as to from which countries and suppliers to procure and ensure safety of transportation channels.Last but not least,it should formulate laws and regulations and improve its defence industry' s ability of self-dependent innovation.
