改革开放以来,中共领导人并没有刻意使用也没有刻意回避"模式"概念。从邓小平为了强调"走自己的道路"而确认"中国有中国自己的模式",到江泽民为了应对国际上的各种风险考验而坚持中国特色社会主义发展模式,再到胡锦涛提出要扩大宣传并不断完善中国发展模式,中共领导人视野中的"中国模式",实质就是中国特色社会主义道路。中共领导人与时俱进,根据时代条件的变化而不断深化对"中国模式"的认识,在一定程度上反映了中国共产党对中国特色社会主义自觉自信的历史轨迹。
