习仲勋重新恢复工作后,被派往广东省主持省委、省政府的工作。在广东省工作期间,他积极推动思想解放和改革开放,力争充分发挥广东省的人文地缘优势,在改革开放中先行一步,从多方面启动改革开放,如实行特殊政策、灵活措施,并试办特区,打开广东省对外开放的大门,促进农业生产管理体制改革,推动计划和企业经营管理体制改革,扩大企业自主权,推动价格和商品流通管理体制率先改革,为全国改革开放的起步提供了重要经验,做出了重大贡献。

After Xi Zhongxun returned to work,he was sent to Guangdong Province to take charge the work of Guangdong provincial Party committee and government.During his work in Guangdong province,he actively promoted thinking emancipation and the reform and opening-up,strived to exploit Guangdong Province' s humanities and geographic advantages to the full and went one step ahead in the reform and opening-up.He started the reform and opening-up from different perspeetives,such as the implementation of special policies and flexible measures and pilot zones,opened the door of Guangdong province' s reform and opening-up,promoted agricultural production and management system reform,promoted planning and enterprises' business management system reform,expanded the autonomy right of enterprises,promoted the first reform of the price and commodities circulation management system,all of whieh made an important experience and a significant eontributions to the first step of the whole country' s reform and opening-up.
