国外图书馆数据监护岗位的设置与需求分析

The Setting Up and Requirements of Data Curation Positions in Libraries at Abroad

统计2010年1月1日至2013年1月31日来自ALA JobLIST、ARL Job Announcements、LISjobs.com等招聘网站上的60个数据监护岗位,分析这些岗位的发布机构、岗位名称、所属部门、工作职责、技能要求。根据调研结果,归纳对国内图书馆数据监护岗位的设置与图情教育的5点启示:机构库或学术交流岗位将向数据监护岗位转型;数据监护岗位越来越成为图书馆所需求的岗位;图书馆需要设置新岗位或调配原有馆员参与数据管理服务;开展数据监护教育与培训计划;图情教育课程需体现实际岗位技能需求。

This study firstly investigates 60 job advertisements for professionals with data curation skills from current job postings such as ALA JobLIST,ARL Job Announcements,LISjobs. corn from Jan. 1st, 2010 to Jan. 31th, 2013 , and then analyzes the types of institutions with job openings, the names of jobs, the reporting lines of jobs, the duties and skill sets required for the positions. Finally, the author concludes that scholarly communication and institutional repository positions in academic libraries will be within tran- sition to data curation; data curation positions will increasingly become the needed jobs in libraries ; libraries should create a new data curarion position or just allocate the existing librarians to manage data services; libraries should have data curation training programs; the LIS education curriculum should reflect the actual demands for job skills.
