Early Researches of Chinese Library Scholars on the Professional Quality of Reference Librarians and Its Inspiration

20世纪20年代到30年代是我国图书馆参考工作的起源时期,针对人才的遴选问题,我国早期图书馆学家提出了很多见解。归纳这一时期洪有丰、刘国钧等学者对参考馆员应该具有的素质的论述,并分六点阐述这些论述对提高当前参考馆员素质的启示。

It is a very important foundation period of library reference service in China from 1920 to 1930. Many library scholars during that period such as Hong Youfeng, Liu Guojun and others studied and focused especially on the professional qualities of reference librarians. The paper gave a summary with six aspects on the qualities of librarian by the library scholars and it is hoped to be inspirating for the improvement of reference librarian nowadays.
