The Thinking Paths of Metaphor Production

隐喻为何发生和如何发生是隐喻认知研究的两个基本问题。隐喻的认知思维本质表明,从思维视角对上述两个问题进行研究是探索隐喻发生规律的根本方法。研究发现:隐喻发生体现出人类认知的自然属性;以体验和经验为基础的聚敛思维、发散思维及其共同作用构成隐喻发生的基本思维路径。隐喻发生的思维路径研究也为深入解读认知语言学的三个基本原则提供了新的思路和方法。

How and why metaphors are produced are two basic questions to Cognitive Linguistics （CL）. The cognitive thinking nature of metaphor implies that the perspective of thinking is the fundamental access to the study of the questions,and the laws that govern metaphor production as well. It is found that metaphor production is the natural process of human cognition and its essential thinking path is the interactive functioning of convergent thinking and divergent thinking, each of which functions differently in degree through the development of metaphor. The exploration of thinking paths in metaphor production also provides new explications and understandings of the three governing ohilosoohical principles of CL.
