The Brain Mechanisms in Metaphor Processing from the Holistic Perspective of Neurolinguistics

摘要 近年来,隐喻认知加工的脑机制研究已经成为神经语言学领域热门的研究课题。隐喻认知脑机制研究采用许多跨学科的研究方法,由此导致在隐喻脑机制的具体定位和半球分工方面产生许多争论,典型的包括右脑加工假说、左脑加工假说和全脑加工假说。然而经过分析隐喻认知脑机制研究的理论基础和方法论差异可以发现隐喻加工并不是简单的二分法,而是全脑综合全面参与的结果。 The brain mechanisms in metaphor processing have become a hot topic in neurolinguistic field. This study initialized with research method summarization and focused on the three different conclusions in brain mechanisms research,i, e. , right-hemisphere hypothesis, left-hemisphere hypothesis, whole-hemisphere hypothesis. Further analysis is presented on the difference of the theoretical basis and methodology of these three hypotheses so as to provide that metaphor comprehension is not subject to the dichotomy of brain hemisphere,but derives from the holistic involvement of the hemispheres during processing metaphor.
