The Map Array Signature Technique for Documents Retrieval From Free-text Databases

本文对现有贴码技术进行了分析对比 ,在此基础上提出了一种新的贴码法——图 -阵列贴码法 ,该技术应用在英文全文数据库检索中能够降低误检率并可处理检索提问中的自由词。

The signature generated in Map Arrary Signature technique maintains the positional informtion of characters and therfore allows for Don't Care characters to be used in the queries. The paper presents a new signature approach in which the sizes of the signature files are dependent on the number of unique symbols in the alphabet,and therefore for all documents containing English text the size is constant.
