蔡侯盘、蔡侯尊铭文历朔与时代考

On the Age and Lunar Calendar Inscribed on the Cai Marquis Bronze Plate and Zun Vessel

1955年5月,安徽寿县蔡侯墓出土蔡侯盘、蔡侯尊,其上铭文"元年正月辛亥"应该是周庄王元年正月的历朔,铭文中的吴王非颇高莫属,铭文中的大孟姬当是蔡桓侯的长女而嫁给颇高者。铭文中的"■"字是蔡桓侯名字的专用字,很可能是"封"字的异构。

Cai marquis bronze plate and bronze Zun vessel were unearthed from Cai marquis tomb at Shou county, Anhui province in May, 1955, on which the inscription recording Xin Hai the first month firth year should be lunar calendar of the first month first year of Zhuang emperor of Zhou dynasty, the king of Wu state was Pogao, the Da Meng Ji who married Pogao was the firstborn daughter of Huan marquis of Cai state, the character was the name of Huan marquis of Cai state and was likely the variant character of 封 （Feng） .
