Nature and Cultural Meaning of Taoist's “Living in Recluse” in the pre-Qin Dynasty

摘要 以往学界大都认为"隐"为先秦道家老庄思想特色,并仅仅从出世的人生态度上来理解道家的"隐"。其实,只要深入先秦道家的思想,把握老庄思想真谛,就可以发现"隐"并非道家思想特色。先秦道家的"隐"并非消极避世,而是对现实、对政治的干预,是对腐恶政治的独特反抗,实现人的自然本真。"隐",实为道家对人生处世的"独见独晓",它具有超越世俗的情怀,独立自由的精神,重人轻物的价值追求,表现了独特的文化价值和意义。 Previously, it was generally recognized by the academia that "living in recluse" is the characteris- tics of Zhuang Zi and Taoist thought, which was only understood from the worldly attitude. In fact, if we make an in--depth study of Taoism in the pre--Qin dynasty and have a firm grasp of essence of ZHUANG Zi's thought, we can find "living in recluse" is not the characteristics of Taoist thought. ""Living in re- cluse" by the Taoists in the Pre-Qin dynasty is not necessarily negative, but the interference with the re- ality and politics, and the special revolt against corrupted politics so as to realize the nature truth. "Living in recluse" is actually Taoist^s singular view of point about human life with transcending passion and inde- pendent spirit. It pursues true value of putting people first, displaying unique cultural value and signifi- cance.
