Counterterrorism training in overseas public security is contributive to intensifying the staffs understanding of overseas public security and increasing their capability to answer the emergency, popularizing the knowledge about overseas public security management and strengthening the staffs safety awareness and self--help ability when they are working abroad, and formulating and implementing management responsibilities and measures. Jianghan Oilfield Training Center carries out a careful training needs research on the counterterrorism training and positions it. Text- book development and content design are more perfect and teaching forms various so that counterterrorism exercise is better targeted and more practical. However, there is something to improve in such aspects as teacherg firsthand ex- perience, training content selection, teachers＇ cultivation for the teaching team and the restriction on exercise field fa- cilities and the people.
