摘要
以概念隐喻理论为基础,采用定量研究方法,通过一项教学实验探讨隐喻思维的培养与经济类专门用途英语语篇阅读效果之间的关系,实验结果肯定了隐喻方法的积极作用。由此认为,经济类专门用途英语应该以概念隐喻理论为导向,重塑学习者对于隐喻的认知,并有意识地启发和培养他们的隐喻思维,以提高其阅读能力,进而取得更好的阅读效果。
Adopting the theory of conceptual metaphor and the quantitative research, a teaching experiment was conducted to analyze the relationship between the cultivation of metaphor thinking and economies-oriented reading. The experiment demonstra- ted the positive influence of metaphor. Based on the experimental results, the paper suggest that the metaphor cognition should be re-shaped with conceptual metaphor in ESP( English for Special Purpose)of economies to develop students' metaphor thinking for better reading capability.
