河南新郑市华阳城遗址东周遗存的调查与发掘

The Reconnaissance and Excavation to the Remains of the Eastern Zhou Period of Huayang City Site in Xinzheng City,Henan

2010年7-11月，为配合郑新快速通道的建设，郑州市文物考古研究院报请国家文物局同意后对河南新郑市华阳城遗址进行考古发掘。通过发掘，进一步了解华阳城的建筑过程及增修情况，发现该城的护城河、防御墙及早期壕沟等东周时期的城防体系。

Huayang was an important military post in the north of the Zheng and Hall States during the Eastern Zhou Period, and also the battlefield of the famous ＂Battle of Huayang＂ . In July through October 2010. archaeological reconnaissance and excavation were conducted to the Huayang City Site, by which the moat, defense wails, traps and earlier ditches forming the complete fortilication system were discovered and the artifacts including potteries, bronzes and iron implements were unearthed. The excavation to Huayang City provided physical materials tor the researches on the cultural connotations, the construction process and extension situation of Huayang City, as well as the ancient military history and urban construction history.
