摘要
本文使用中国制造业企业数据研究了进口中间产品多样性与企业产品创新能力之间的关系。模型估计结果表明,进口中间产品多样性对企业产品创新能力具有促进作用。基于不同方式构造多样性指标、加入时变控制变量和缓解内生性问题均不影响结论的稳健性。"学习效应"和"互补效应"两种渠道的相互交织同时提升企业产品创新能力,进口中间产品的可替代性越低,作用效果越明显。而企业自身研发强度的提高对以上促进机制起到了强化作用。
Drawing on data from Chinese manufacturers, this paper attempts to study the connection between the diversity of imported intermediate products and enterprise product innovation ability. The regression results show the diversity of imported intermediate goods has a positive effect on product innovation capability; the variation in constructing the diversity index, the incorporation of time-varying control variables and the alleviation of endogeneity all do not affect the robustness of the estimation results. It is also found that the intertwining of "learning by importing effect" and "complimentarity effect" works to improve product innovation capability; the lower the substitutability of imported intermediate product, the significant the effect. Furthermore, the above influencing mechanism can be strengthened by intensified enterprise R & D.
