文章通过对《倾城之恋》里的范柳原以及《红玫瑰与白玫瑰》中振保两个男性形象的分析,探讨张爱玲个人对当时社会中男性的懦弱自私、卑琐、冷漠、虚伪、扭曲与变态心理的认识和谴责。这些人物的素材与张爱玲的人生经历有一定的关联,虽然为数不多,但是形象丰满且更具血肉,具有一定的社会隐射性和代表性,也代表了一个时代觉醒的女性对性别的重新认知。
