《岁月》作为弗吉尼亚.伍尔夫一部成熟的作品,是她在长篇小说上不断创新、不断突破的成功实践之一。《岁月》描写了从1880年到"现在"帕吉特家族三代人的故事,其不仅是一部家族史小说,还是一部历史小说;弗吉尼亚.伍尔夫把对社会、对历史激昂的评论随笔式的穿插在这一个中产阶级的家庭生活中。《岁月》书写了一种逆反的历史,其中国家大事并不是中心事件,而是在普通人日常生活中存在的瞬间中摸索。文章旨在以帕吉特一家三代人的故事为论述焦点,结合外部世界的史实,从女性、"重要瞬间"和日常生活三方面对《岁月》的历史观进行了解读。

The Years is a mature work of Virginia Woolf,which is the accomplishment of continuing innovations and breakthroughs of her novel creating.It is not only a novel about family,in which the story of three generations of Pargiter family is told from 1880 to ＂now＂,but also a novel about history in which the narration of the middle class family is the subplot of desultory and inspiring remarks about society and history.The Years is intended to embody reversing history,in which the history of existing moments of ordinary people is told instead of great events of nation.My thesis will focus on the story of the three generations of the Pargiter,combined with the history of outer world in order to interpret history from three aspects：feminine,＂the moment of importance＂ and routine life.
