Grasp the Opportunity for Development to be a Pacesetter of Open University

云南开放大学面临着"机遇与挑战"并存的局面:一方面,云南省委、省政府对云南开放大学高度重视,省教育厅全力支持,全校干部职工团结一心,开放大学试点成果显著;另一方面,云南开放大学的办学基础、办学能力、内涵建设与建设一流开放大学还有一定差距,还有很多内在的矛盾和问题。不夯实基础,不解决这些矛盾和问题,云南开放大学就不能真正实现成功转型,更难以成为开放大学建设的标杆。

The situation faced by Yunnan Open University is the coexistence of opportunities and challenges. On the one hand, great importance attached by Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Yunnan Provincial Government and full support given by Yunnan Provincial Department of Education as well as the common efforts made by all staff members of Yunnan Open University make the pilot program of Open University fruitful. On the other hand, the foundation, running ability and connotation construction of Yunnan Open University have a certain gap with the construction of first-class Open University, in which there are a lot of internal contradictions, problems and frail foundations. The solution to these contradictions and problems can make Yunnan Open University to achieve a successful transformation and become a pacesetter of the construction of open universities.
