This paper introduces the concept of food waste and the main sources of food waste in Urumqi. It proceeds with a discussion of current resource reuse technologies of food waste both at home and abroad. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various technology including feed processing, reusing food waste as fertilizer, anaerobic fermentation and biodiesel technologies. And summarize the dispositions in and abroad. Discuss the further development of food waste disposal in Urumqi.
