The Features of the British Economy between the Two World Wars

英国经济的衰落是一个连续的过程 ,两次世界大战之间是这一过程的重要阶段 ,呈现出一些新的特点。本文从工业、农业、贸易、金融等四个方面阐述这一时期英国经济衰落的特点 ,即 :工业发展最慢的国家之一 ,农业从业人口比例最低的国家 ,失去了第一贸易大国的地位 。

The decline of the British economy is a continuous process. The period between the two world wars was an important period of the whole declining process.The British economy during this period presented some new features. This article expounds the features of the decline of British economy from the four aspects of industry, agriculture, trade and banking. Britain then was one of the most slowly developing countries, a country with the smallest proportion of population being engaged in agricutlure, a country that was losing its position as the world number one power in trading and a country reduced to a second-class power in credit operation.
