A Comparative Study on the Missions and Visions of Twelve National Libraries

十二所国家级图书馆的愿景与使命涉及搜集、保存、供给信息资源,促进本国发展,保存文化遗产,自身定位,促进学术研究和知识创新。经过比较,各有千秋,同时也给人一些启示。

The missions and visions of 12 national libraries cover the perspectives as follows： collecting, preserving and providing information resources, promoting the development of a nation, conserving cultural heritage, locating it- self, promoting academic study and intellectual innovation. By comparison, each library has its advantages and dis- advantages. This gives people some revelations at the same time.
