宝鸡是个矿产资源非常丰富的地区之一,目前开发利用的矿种有16个,各类大小矿山216个。优势矿种铅锌、金、水泥化工用石灰岩在陕西乃至全国都占有重要地位。宝鸡横跨秦岭褶皱系和华北地台两大一级构造单元,地质地理位置得天独厚,透辉石、红柱石已逐步形成第二方阵优势矿种,找矿潜力大,用途广。另外石墨、白云岩、大理岩、花岗岩、石英岩、长石类也非常丰富。应当引起高度重视。

Baoji is one of the much abundant area in mineral resources. At present, there are sixteen kinds of minerals that have been developed and exploited, and 216 mines had been existed in these area. The dominant mine species are lead and zinc, gold, especially the limestone used in cement chemical industry, they all occupied the important position in Shaanxi province and even in the nationwide. Baoji enjoyed the exceptional advantages in geographical location. Diopside and andalusite have become the second square matrix mine species and with the great potential in prospecting, also with the extensive purpose. All these resources should be paid high attention to by the geological field.
