摘要
美国高校教授治学是指教授管理学术及其相关事务的所有活动。研究美国高校教授治学不仅需要关注其运作机制,还需要了解其组织文化的影响。运作机制从制度层面明确和保障了美国高校教授治学的权力与途径,而组织文化则从社会关系的层面促进了美国高校行政人员与教授的互信与合作,防止了制度的空转,是大学学术治理得以有效进行的内在因素。
Academic governance in American higher education institutions refers to pro- lessors managing academic and academic-related affairs, whose operating mechanism and or- ganizational culture should be studied carefully. The operating mechanism defined the power and methods of academic governance in the dimension of system; while the organizational culture facilitated trust and collaboration between administrators and professors in the di-mension of social relationship, eschewing ineffectiveness of the system, which was the inter-nal factor that promoted academic governance.
