Type CKP-100 Ultra supercritical steam turbine, which were put into operation in USSR in 1966 and serve for topping intermediate pressure units.have reduced the plant coal consumption to 315g/kWh. The paper describes its main equipment, thermody-namic cycle, material selection, structural features of the turbine, starting-up and off design operation, the cooling system of the HP cylinder and operating experiences, as well as prospect of development.
