The paper describles in detail the progress in design and manufacture of forgee and welded PWR pressure vessels as compiared to traditional ways. The advantage of possible in-service inspection of integral PWR pressure vessels is presented in the conclusion, which is considered to be a development trend of future PWR pressure vessels.8 figs, 1table and 8refs.
