名称外译中的文化迹点透视

Analysis on the Cultural Trace of Translating Designations

翻译的本质是一种跨文化的信息传播。名称作为一种文化符号,其翻译过程更大程度上是作为一个整体文化标记参与的符际转换活动。本文认为,面对译法的多重选择,名称外译应尽量保持其独有的"文化迹点";应当充分考虑其整体性,保持源语言文化的最大信息,使传播活动获得最大的意义。

The essence of translation is a kind of intercultural dissemination of information. Designation, a kind of cultural sign, conducts translating process as an entire cultural mark to a larger extent. In the activity of inter-semiotics transformation, we have multiple choices among translating principles according to the interpreting method. We hold that we should keep its unique ＂cultural trace＂ when we translate a designation, and then, we should take the integrity into account and keep maximum information in order to make meaning more effective in the interpretation process.
