Between instinct and intelligence——Reflection on Bergson's intuition

直觉是理解柏格森哲学的一把钥匙,也是其思想中争议最大、最为人诟病的部分。柏格森的直觉与西方传统直觉有着很大的不同:它不再是外在于理智的纯一本能,而是本能和理智的有机融合,需要付诸努力才能实现;它不再是一个认识论而是一个存在论的概念,是抵达绵延实在的唯一方法;作为方法,柏格森的直觉概念具有超越生命性的突出特征。正确把握直觉不仅有利于理解柏格森诗化的哲学语言,而且对于补正西方传统抽象思维之方向、处理人文与科学之间的关系都有指导意义。

Intuition, a key to understand Bergson, constitutes the part the most contentious and criticized in his thought. Bergson＇ s intuition is different from the Western traditional intuitions： no longer the given instinct, but a dy-namic fusion of instinct and intelligence, it needs efforts to achieve; no longer a epistemology but a ontology concept, it is the only way to reach the reality. As a way, Bergson＇s intuition is beyond the subjectivity. Grasping the right mean-ing of Bergson＇ s intuition not only benefits to understand his poetic language, but also to remedy the abstract thinking of Western tradition and the relationship between Humanities and sciences.
