摘要
赛珍珠1938年成为诺贝尔文学奖得主后,参与和组织了大量的社会活动,包括发表演讲、成立东西方交流协会、协助《亚洲》杂志编务、创建赛珍珠基金会等,充分体现出她的跨文化对话意识。赛珍珠的社会活动中包含着强烈的对话意识,对其社会活动及其特征的研究是全面把握赛珍珠一生中美文化交流事业的一个重要组成部分。
Pearl S. Buck participated in and organized many social and intercultural activities after becoming Nobel laureate in 1938, including making speeches, establishing the East and West Association, helping the editing of Asia and founding Pearl S. Buck Foundation among others. The present paper attempts to make studies of Pearl S. Buck＇s dialogical consciousness and its embodiment as social activist so that we can arrive at a comprehensive understanding of the Sino-American cultural exchange which Pearl S. Buck advocated in her lifetime.
