摘要
结合翻译教学中发现的学生翻译语言语用失误实例,探讨了英汉思维差异导致翻译实践中词、句和语篇方面出现的失误类型,发现在词汇层面出现的选词错误、词义误用以及翻译冗余,在句子层面出现的句式结构误用、句子逻辑缺失,在语篇层面出现的逐字翻译、结构套用等皆和中西思维差异息息相关。译者忽视译入语的民族思维特点,从而出现语言失误,同时提出在翻译实践中的相关对策和翻译教学中的注意事项。
Based on the examples of pragmatics failures made by students in translation, this paper makes a detailed analysis to the types of failures on the lexieal, syntactic and textual levels. It is found that pragmatic failures on the lexical level includes wrong choice of words, improper use of meaning and redundancy; those on the syntactic level include wrong use of sentences and improper logic; those on the textual level include word-for-word translation and misuse of similar structures. All these failures are closely related to the differences of thinking modes between the East and West. They are caused by the translator's ignorance of the thinking mode in the target language; as a resuit, failures occur in translation practice. On such a basis, the author puts forward suggestions to avoid pragmatic failures in translation practice and classroom teaching.
