Improving the Ability to Make Moral Choices: a New Orientation of Moral Education in Colleges and Universities

当前社会处于转型期,人们的思想观念发生了深刻的变化。在这样一个多元化的、变化的社会,原来居于支配地位的道德观念受到来自不同方面的挑战,不同社会成员的道德取向多种多样,这不可避免地影响、感染着世界观、人生观、价值观尚不成熟的大学生,高校德育面临着前所未遇的挑战。所以,培育道德选择能力应成为高校德育的路径转向。高校德育要实现学会选择与教会选择的有机融合;要坚持一元价值取向与多元价值取向的对立统一;要把握大学生道德选择能力培养的教育策略。

With the current transformation of our society, people＇s thoughts are also experiencing great changes. In such a diverse and changing society, the past dominant moral values are confronted with challenges from different aspects and members of different communities develop a diversity of moral orientations. All this not only inevitably influences the college students since their outlook on the world, life and values is far from mature, but also brings about unprecedented challenges to moral education in colleges and universities. In such a circumstance, to improve the ability to make moral choices should be the target for the college moral education, which calls for colleges and universities firstly to integrate enab- ling the students to learn to make choice with teaching them to make choice, secondly to adhere to the opposite unity be- tween unified and pluralistic value orientations, and thirdly to well grasp the educational strategies that can improve the col- lege students＇ ability to make moral choices.
