摘要
文章基于外语教学领域中的学习者自主理论,采用问卷调查的方法考察了非英语专业学生的自主学习状况对专业英语四级考试成绩的影响。研究表明,即使对于成绩十分接近及格线的考生而言,自主学习状况亦从多方面直接影响考试成绩,考试成败与否仍然取决于学生的自主学习状况等可控因素。文章最后为教师提出了培养学生自主学习能力的几点建议,期望对提高学生自主学习能力及英语学习均有所裨益。
On the basis of the theory of autonomous learning in foreign language learning, the author has conducted a survey about the impact of non-English majors' autonomous learning on their TEM--4 scores. Then, a comparison is made between two groups of students (one group with scores of 55--59; the other with scores of 60--64) to find out the differences in their autonomous learning. It's shown that there are many controllable factors even for those who failed the exam. That means they can also pass it if they possess a higher degree of autonomous learning. Finally, several strategies are put forward for teachers to help improve studentsv autonomous learning and their TEM--4 performance.
