A NEW SUBSPECIES OF TADUM1A PRZEWALSKII FROM XINJIANG, CHINA (LEPIDOPTERA: PARNASSIIDAE)

本文记述采自新疆昆仑山的绢蝶一新亚种,普氏绢蝶昆仑山亚种Tadumia przewalskii kunlunica subsp.nov)。正模、副模保存于新疆大学生物系。

The present paper reports a new subspecies of Tadumia przewalskii from Xinjiang. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Xinjiang University. Tadumia przewalskii kunlunica ssp. nov. (figs. 1-3)This new subspecies is close to Tadumia przewalskii przewalskii (Alpheraky), but differs from the latter as follows: 1. Size smaller than all known subspecies, length of forewing ♂ 25.0 mm,♀ 25.5mm; 2. Different in the streaks of forewing, marginal as well as submarginal black band wider, the marking in the space 1 black and much conspicuous, rather than in color.Holotype ♂, length of forewing 25.0mm., Kardon in the east of Mt. Kunlun, Ruoqiang, Xinjiang. 4400m, July, 27, 1984, Coll. Huang Ren-xin. Paratype 19, length of forewing 25.5mm., Kalachuka in the east of Mt. Kunlun, Ruoqiang, Xinjiang, 4350 m, July, 23, 1984. Coll. Din Xiao-nan.
