FOUR NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS TAHARANA FROM CHINA (HOMOPTERA: COELIDIIDAE)

本文记述刺茎叶蝉属4新种:横迹刺茎叶蝉Taharana trackana sp.nov.,红带刺茎叶蝉Taharana ruficincta sp.nov.,白斑刺茎叶蝉Taharana albopunctata sp.nov.,横带刺茎叶蝉Taharana fasciana sp.nov.。文中对每一新种的形态和雄性外生殖器构造特征进行了详细的描述,并附主要特征图。

In this paper four new species of the genus Taharana are described from Guizhou Provence, China. All the Type specimens are deposited in the Guizhou Agricultural College. 1. Taharana trackana sp. nov. (figs. 1-5)This species is similar to Taharana dubia (Walker), but differs from the latter in the following points: the pygofer of the male in lateral aspect with a bladelike caudodorsal process and with a swordlike caudoventral process; subgenital plate without a prominent spine at apex; aedeagus with numerous fine spicules apically on dorsal surface, toothbrush in shape.Length (incl. tegm.): ♂ 7.0-7.2mm; ♀ 7.8-8.0mm.Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, Wangmo (25°11'N, 106°1'E), Guizhou, Ⅵ.18.1986, paratypes 3♂♂ 5♀♀, date as holotype, 3♂♂, 7♀♀, Luodian (25°26'N, 106°46'E), Guizhou, Ⅵ1.8-10.1983.. 2. Taharana ruficincta sp. nov. (figs. 6-10)This new species is allied to Taharana tracckana Li sp. nov., but may be easily distinguished from the latter by the following characters; the pygofer of the male in lateral aspect without caudoventral process; subgenital plate with a prominent spine at apex; aedeagus with indentations near apex.Length (incl. tegm.): ♂ 7.2-7.5mm.Holotype ♂, paratype 1♂, Tianzhu (26°56'N, 109°12'E), Guizhou, Ⅷ. 7. 1982.3. Taharana albopunctata sp. nov. (figs. 11-15)This species is very similar to Taharana spiculata Nielson, but easly differentiated from the latter in the following features: the 10th segment of the male long and narrow, without ventral process; the caudodorssl process of the pygofer expanded at the end; aedeagus with numerous spicules along lateral margin at apicai 2/1.Length (incl. tegm.): ♂8.0mm; ♀ 9.2mm.Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, Wuangmo (25°11'N, 106°1'E), Guizhou, 17.Ⅵ.1986, paratypes 2♂♂, Luodian (25°26'N, 106°46'E), Guizhou, Ⅶ.15.1979.4.
