Practical skill is an important content of tourism management professional and to meet characteristics of tourism market demand, and it has an important position in the teaching of Tourism Management. If tourism management in local universities follows the traditional path, it doesn＇ t have a competitive advantage in the market development. The development and training of practical skills is an important way to solve the sustainable development of tourism management in local universities. This paper takes Weinan normal university as an example, expounding the importance of the cultivation of practice skills and development strat- egy of＂ three paces＂, to step out of the classrooms, campus and Weinan city to construct the three-dimensional practical skill-training system and establish the prospect of long-term planning for future practical skills development.
