Status and Challenges of Fundamental Geo- information Data Production and Updating

基础地理信息数据的生产和更新是国家空间数据基础设施建设的重要内容，其质量和现实性直接影响地理信息系统分析和决策的结果。本文对基础地理信息数据生产和更新的历史、现状与未来的发展趋势做了论述，试图理清该研究领域的发展脉络，同时对当前该领域的主要矛盾和技术瓶颈做了分析，最后提出了应对的策略。

The production and updating of fundamental geo - information data is the important content of national spatial da- ta infrastructure. Its quality and reality directly have influences on the analysis and decision - making of geo - information sys- tem. This paper discusses the history, progress and future development for production and updating of fundamental geo - informa- tion data, in trying to clarify development context of this area. The paper also analyses main contradiction and technical bottle- neck in production and updating of fundamental geo - information data. Finally, this paper presents response strategy.
